Green Burial Talk

The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) will hold a talk on green burial with details as follows :
Date:	11 July 2020 (Saturday)
Time:	9:15 am – 10: 15 am
Venue:	Conference Room of Quarry Bay Community Hall G/F, Quarry Bay Community Complex, 1 Greig Road, Hong Kong (MTR Tai Koo Station Exit B)
Content:	Green Burial Services and Facilities Green Burial Central Register Better Utilisation of Public Niches
Language: Cantonese
All are welcome. Free admission with souvenirs.
Telephone registration for the talk begins (Quota is limited. First come, first served). For telephone registration or enquiry, please call 2562 7130 or 2895 6621(Mondays to Fridays from 9 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm).
Participants are required to wear their own facemasks, have temperature check and complete Health Declaration Form before admission.
FEHD may cancel the activity or change the date of activity in response to the COVID-19 pandemic situation and/or other factors.

Visit the ferry service for scattering of ashes

To raise public awareness of the ferry service for scattering of ashes at sea, FEHD invites members of the public to attend such service on the last Saturday of each month and it is free of charge.

During the visit, FEHD will provide dedicated staff to introduce the service and visitors are required to keep quiet and refrain from causing any disturbance to service users on board. No photo taking/film shooting is allowed.

Details of the visits scheduled from February to April 2020 are as follows:

Every applicant may bring along a friend/family member on board. For registration, please call 2174 7697 or 2556 1742 (Monday to Friday (except public holidays) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Quota is limited. First come, first served.

Remarks:

(1) On the date of visit, visitors must be punctual and arrive North Point (East) Passenger Pier before 8:45 a.m. for registration. If visitor is unable to attend the visit as scheduled, please notify FEHD in advance

(2) The journey takes approximately 4.5 hours. The ferry returns to the North Point (East) Passenger Ferry Pier at around 1:30 p.m.

(3) If the Hong Kong Observatory issues any Tropical Cyclone Warning signal or the Red/Black Rainstorm Warning Signal at or after 7:00 a.m. on the day of departure, the visit will be cancelled

The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) will hold a talk on the various facets of after-death arrangements.

Seating Arrangement and Souvenirs Seats and souvenirs are limited and available on a first come first served basis
Inclement Weather Arrangement The talk will be cancelled if Black Rainstorm Warning Signal or Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is hoisted by the Hong Kong Observatory and is still in force at or after 7:00 am on the day of the talk.
